A website for a commercial glazier that passes a builder's capability check, not a homeowner's glance
Commercial glazing contractors are hired by builders, project managers and facility managers who check capability and paperwork before they ask for a price. Your website is where that check happens, usually after the tender lands.
A$249 a month, A$499 setup, GST may apply, 12-month minimum term. One plan, the same for every kind of glazing business.
What usually goes wrong for commercial glazing contractors
Before we build anything, we look at the site you have now. These are the faults we find most often in this corner of glazing.
-
The site reads like a residential glazier's, so an estimator cannot tell whether you have done a four-storey facade.
-
No project list, or projects named without permission from the builder or owner.
-
The systems you supply and install are not listed, so the estimator has to call to ask a basic question.
-
Certificates that expired a year ago are still downloadable.
-
There is no named route for tender packages or drawings, so they go to a general inbox.
As we find it, and as we build it
Each fault has a specific correction. This is what changes on your site.
| Where | As we usually find it | As we build it |
|---|---|---|
| Capability | Friendly homeowner copy | Systems you install, project types and sizes, and the regions you cover, stated plainly |
| Projects | A gallery with no context | Projects you are allowed to name, or described by type and scope where you cannot |
| Documents | Old PDFs left online | A capability statement, with current certificates sent on request so nothing expired sits online |
| Tenders | "Contact us" | A tender and drawings route with the details your estimator needs |
| Maintenance work | Not mentioned | A facilities page for panel and maintenance work, with how to raise a job |
Your site gets read after the tender lands
A builder's estimator shortlisting subcontractors will look you up. So will a project manager deciding whether you can handle a four-storey façade, or a facility manager looking for a glazier to put on their maintenance panel. They are not looking for friendly copy. They want evidence you have done work of this size, the systems you install, where you operate, and who to send drawings to.
A thin one-page site, or none at all, makes that check harder than it needs to be. It will not win a tender by itself, but it can make the shortlist easier to justify.
- Have they done projects of this type and size?
- Which systems do they supply and install?
- Do they cover this region?
- Can I get their capability statement now?
- Who do I send the tender package to?
What a commercial glazing site must show
Capability statement
A page version plus a downloadable PDF you supply: scope, systems, team size if you choose, regions.
Project list
Completed work by sector, with your own photos and a one-line scope for each job you are allowed to name.
Systems and services
Curtain wall, shopfronts, automatic doors, glass partitions, maintenance and make-safe work.
Tender contact
A named estimating contact or inbox and a form for sending drawings, separate from repair enquiries.
Compliance documents: what to publish and what to hold back
Every builder asks for paperwork, but not all of it belongs on a public page. We usually suggest this split, and you decide:
| Document | Suggested handling |
|---|---|
| Capability statement | Publish as a page and a PDF |
| Licence details | Publish where your state regulator's rules require or allow it |
| Insurance certificates | Listed as available on request, sent current copies directly |
| Safety management documents | Mention that you have them, send on request |
| Product test reports | Link to the manufacturer's published data where it exists |
Licensing and advertising rules differ between states and territories, so check your state regulator's rules on what your website must display.
Two enquiry routes
Tender and project enquiries ask for company, project name and location, the package (for example façade, shopfronts or internal glazing), tender close date, and drawings to attach where your form tool allows uploads.
Maintenance and repairs ask for site address, what is broken, whether the site is secure, a work order number and a photo. Facility managers often need this route more than the tender one.
The pages your site will carry
- Home
- Capability
- Projects, by sector
- Systems and services
- Maintenance and make-safe
- Safety and compliance
- Tenders and contact
How contractors use the monthly edits
Commercial sites change in bursts. When a project reaches practical completion and you have permission and photos, adding it to the project list is an edit. So is uploading an updated capability statement at the start of the financial year, adding a new system you now install, or changing the estimating contact when someone leaves. Up to 5 edits a month keeps the project list current, which is the page estimators look at most.
Questions from commercial glazing contractors
Can we publish our project list without client permission?
List projects you are allowed to name. Many head contracts restrict publicity, so check yours. Where you cannot name the builder or owner, describe the job instead, such as "three-storey medical centre, curtain wall and automatic entry doors", with your own photos if you are allowed to take them.
Should our insurance certificates and policies be downloadable?
That is your call. Some contractors publish a capability statement and list the documents available on request, then send current certificates directly so expired copies never sit online. We can set up either approach, and swapping in a new document counts as one content edit.
We do both commercial work and residential repairs. Will the site look confused?
Not if each audience has its own entry point. The homepage leads with the work that matters most to your business and links clearly to the other. Builders see capability and projects; householders see repairs and a phone number.
Does the site replace tender platforms and prequalification systems?
No. Builders will still ask you to register and submit through their own systems. The website is where they check you out before and after that: who you are, what you have done, and who to contact. It supports those submissions rather than replacing them.
Can we have a separate page for facilities and maintenance work?
Yes. Facility managers want to know the response times you can actually meet, how to raise a job and how invoicing works. That sits on its own page so it does not clutter the tender and capability pages.

Make the shortlist easy to justify
Book a 20-minute call. We look at how you quote and what you sell, and tell you plainly whether the plan suits your business.
A$249 a month, A$499 setup, GST may apply, 12-month minimum term.
No obligation on the call. If the plan isn't right for how you work, we say so.
