A website for a double glazing company that sells warmer, quieter rooms, not just glass
Double glazing is bought by people who have lived with a cold bedroom, a noisy road or streaming condensation for years. They read, compare and ask a partner before anyone measures. Your site has to do the explaining first.
A$249 a month, A$499 setup, GST may apply, 12-month minimum term. One plan, the same for every kind of glazing business.
What usually goes wrong for double glazing companies
Before we build anything, we look at the site you have now. These are the faults we find most often in this corner of glazing.
-
The homepage says "energy efficient windows" and nothing else, so a careful buyer learns nothing they could not have guessed.
-
Retrofit and full replacement sit on one page, so an owner with sound timber frames cannot tell whether you would keep them.
-
No rating details for the glass and frame combinations you actually sell, even though that is what comparison shoppers look for.
-
The enquiry box wants a message, so every lead starts with a phone call just to learn the window count and the frame type.
-
Rebate information is missing, out of date, or stated more generously than the program itself allows.
As we find it, and as we build it
Each fault has a specific correction. This is what changes on your site.
| Where | As we usually find it | As we build it |
|---|---|---|
| Offer | One page called Double glazing | Separate retrofit, replacement and acoustic pages, each with its own photos and questions answered |
| Ratings | "Energy efficient" with no detail | The published WERS figures you supply, in the same table on every product page |
| Rebates | A banner that reads like a promise | A plain rebates page that links to the official program and names only your eligible products |
| Quote form | Name, email, message | Suburb, window count, current frames, main goal, retrofit or replace, photos |
| Proof | Supplier brochure images | Your installs by suburb and house style, added as monthly edits |
Who is reading your site
Most double glazing enquiries come from owners of existing homes, not new builds. They have a specific complaint: a bedroom that is freezing in July, a living room that bakes in the afternoon, traffic noise from a main road, or condensation running down aluminium frames every morning. They are rarely in a hurry. They read, compare two or three companies, and ask a partner before they book anyone to measure.
The Australian Government's Your Home guide says up to 40% 2 of a home's heating energy can be lost through windows, and up to 87% 2 of its heat gain can come through them. Figures like those are what a careful buyer is already reading. Your site should give them the same plain explanation, with the source, and then show what you install.
- Retrofit into existing frames, or full replacement?
- Roughly what a home like theirs costs
- How much quieter or warmer it will be
- Whether any rebate applies in their state
- How long the install takes and how messy it is
The jobs you quote, and why the numbers justify a proper site
Double glazing is a high-value, low-frequency purchase. One whole-home job can be worth more than a year of small repairs, so the site's job is to earn the measure appointment.
Replacing every window
A Melbourne company reports $15,000 to $40,000 or more 4 installed for 10 to 15 windows in a typical 3 bedroom home.
A full glazing package
A Perth company reports $18,000 to $20,000 5 for a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with about 20 to 25 m² of glazing.
New units, old frames
Retrofitting double glazed units into sound aluminium frames is reported at $800 to $1,800 per window 5 .
The noisy bedroom
Smaller jobs, often acoustic glass for one or two rooms facing a road. These are good first jobs that turn into whole-home work later.
These are one company's published figures in each city, not our prices and not a market average. Your own site shows your own pricing, or none.
What the site must show
- A retrofit versus replacement page with photos of both, so owners can see which describes their house
- Product pages for each window and door type you glaze, with the ratings the manufacturer publishes. WERS rates whole-window performance 1 and gives U value, SHGC, air infiltration and light transmittance 2 , so we lay those out in a consistent table on each page.
- A rebates page for the states where you work. In Victoria, the VEU program lists up to $210 per 10 m² 3 and applies to approved products only 3 , so the page links to the program and says which of your products are on the register.
- A noise page if acoustic glazing is a big part of your work
- Service areas you actually travel to, and your install process from measure to clean-up
The quote form fields
A good double glazing form sorts enquiries before you pick up the phone. We set yours up to ask:
- Suburb and type of home (house, townhouse, apartment)
- Roughly how many windows and sliding doors
- Current frames: aluminium, timber or other, and their condition
- The main goal: warmth, cooling, noise or condensation
- Retrofit, replacement or not sure
- Photos of the windows, where your form tool allows uploads
- Best time to call
The pages your site will carry

|---|---|
| Home | The complaint you fix, retrofit or replace, areas served, book a measure |
| Retrofit double glazing | When existing frames can stay, what changes, photos |
| Window replacement | Frame choices, product types and their published ratings |
| Acoustic glazing | Road, rail and flight path noise, laminated glass options |
| Rebates and ratings | State programs you work under, how to read a WERS label |
| Our process | Measure, quote, manufacture lead time, install day |
| Gallery | Before and after photos by suburb and house style |
| Contact and quote | The form above, phone, hours |
- Seasonal homepage note

How double glazing companies use their monthly edits
Winter and the run-up to summer are when most people think about their windows, so edits tend to cluster then: a seasonal note on the homepage, new before and after photos from recent installs, an updated lead time when the factory is busy. When a rebate program changes its amount or its rules, updating the rebates page counts as an edit. So does adding a new product line with its ratings, or a new suburb you have started travelling to.
Questions from double glazing companies
Should a double glazing website show prices?
Many homeowners want a rough idea before they invite someone to measure. You can show a starting price per window type, a price range for a typical home, or no prices at all. We lay out whatever you choose and add a clear note on what changes the final quote, such as size, frame and glass type.
Can the site explain rebates like the Victorian Energy Upgrades discount?
Yes, as a plain explainer page that links to the official program page. We only state what the program itself says, and you confirm which products you install are eligible. If rules change, updating that page is one of your monthly content edits.
I do both retrofit and full replacement. Do I need two websites?
No. One site carries both, with a page for each and a short comparison that helps a homeowner work out which suits their house. The quote form asks whether the frames are sound, so you know which conversation you are walking into before the measure.
Can homeowners send photos of their windows through the form?
The form can ask for photos where the booking or form tool you use supports uploads. Photos of the frames, glass and the outside of the house help you judge retrofit or replacement before a site visit, which saves a drive for jobs that are not a fit.
Do you write the claims about how much warmer or quieter a home will be?
No. We publish only what you can support: the ratings for the products you sell and sourced general information, such as the Your Home guidance on heat lost through windows. We never promise a temperature change, a noise reduction figure or an energy saving for a particular house.
What becomes of the site we run today?
It keeps running until you approve the replacement. We read through it on the call, carry over the pages worth carrying, and aim each old address at whatever replaces it, so a link in a past quote or a rebate listing still lands on a real page.
